THE INDYMEDIA OF THE RIGHT

Why Charles Johnson is an idiot

Late in the evening, I also became an angry blogger. I never read the comments on the LGF site much, but this has been beyond my imagination so far, even on the background of the pre-Iraq war blogosphere. You are welcome to enhance my American vocabulary with suitable expletives.

Update [Mon Jun 02, 04:00:12 PM]:

Warning: ugly links. On discovering this Indymedia page via the same source, all I can say is that they deserve each other. The title has been updated appropriately.

ROADMAP MADNESS

No, I am not in an America-bashing mood, pace LGF, but what the hell is this: U.S. threatened sanctions if Israel blocked 'Roadmap'?
"It's hard to overestimate the anger within the administration toward Israel regarding the delays in the roadmap," a congressional source close to the administration said. "The White House doesn't regard the roadmap merely as foreign policy. It sees the roadmap as a major element toward the reelection of the president."

...

The sources said Bush has pledged to Arab allies that he will continue to remain involved in the implementation of the roadmap. They said Bush has also pledged that a Palestinian state will emerge by the end of the year.

"The president's involvement is the biggest deal," Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Richard Lugar, regarded as Bush's closest ally in Congress, said.
What does W.'s reelection of all the things in the world have to do with that "Roadmap"? It smacks of the worst of European populism.

EUROBASTARDS vs. THE ALMIGHTY

Considered that we will all of us be smitten to whatever the divine powers will choose in a short time, maybe it's useless for me to blog further at all.

Dear God, I don't know what the EU needs a constitution for, honest. Not that I know what I should need the EU for either, other than to devour my taxes. Dear God, I promise to mention Giscard d'Estaing three times a day. May the Blogosphere bear witness to this most solemn of oaths. Yours, Miranda.

NOMADIC CONFESSIONS

I have decided to move for a number of reasons, Blogger's recent template quirks among them. I don't want to abandon "Quite Contrary" completely, but I haven't yet settled on the exact co-existence mode between the two sites.

I'll explain the meaning of the funny "BlogThread" link later. Don't let it bother you at the moment.

Maybe I'll migrate to a decent provider with a decent software. Some day I will. Not in the nearest future: my internet connections may become an unreliable affair in the coming months, which would make it difficult to perform full site administration.

Today, I am a sad blogger. I have missed the partial sun eclipse. I hoped to re-experience the delicious sci-fi light of the one in 1999, but these damned clouds over my town spoiled the effect.
